Auction Gala:
This
is an
opportunity to come together as a community to celebrate
our school and teachers, while raising money to fund the
teachers' wish list, technology equipment for use by
faculty and students, tuition assistance and more.
This year's event will be held on May 1, 2010. We invite you to become involved in
this spectacular event so please check the calendar page
for auction meeting dates.

Book Fair:
Assist students in
selection of books and help with cashiering. This
week long event will take place in April.

Booster Club:
Committed to providing
support and recognition for our students involved in the
Country Day athletics program. Its goal is to
spread school spirit throughout the community.
Volunteers are needed to help at many of the games and
at our fashionable Booster Boutique, which sells Torrey

CDAA:
Help support the Country Day Arts Alliance to promote the artistic community at La Jolla Country Day
School. Volunteers are needed to help with the dance,
strings, theatre, visual arts and vocal music
performances. Visit the

Faculty & Staff
Appreciation Luncheons:
What a great way to get to know the faculty and staff
and let them know how much they are appreciated.
Prepare a salad or dessert and/or assist with set-up,
serving and clean up. Luncheons will be held on
Thursdays on September 17, 2009, November 19, 2009,
February 18, 2010 and April 22, 2010.

Gift Wrap:
This is a major fundraiser for the Parents' Association
which takes place in the fall. Volunteers are
needed to assist with receiving, recording and
distributing of gift wrap orders.

Library:
Assist in the school library (Lower School and 5th & 6th
grade) during your child's library time. Help with
shelving and checking books in and out.

Picnic: Our
Annual Back to School Picnic is loads of fun with great
food and entertainment. This year's picnic will be
held on Friday, September 11, 2009.

Teacher Appreciation
Day:
Whether your child is a pre-K student or graduating
senior, the Country Day community is fortunate to have
teachers who are passionate about what they do. If
you would like to join your grade level committee to
help plan the special events for the day, please contact
your appropriate Room Parent Coordinator based on your
child's grade level. Teacher appreciation day is April
22, 2010.

WeCare:
This program evolved from the care and concerns of
parents and school personnel from seven schools: La
Jolla Country Day, Francis Parker, Bishop's, Cathedral
Catholic High School, Saint Augustine, San Diego Jewish
Academy and Warren Walker. The purpose is to
promote integrity, responsibility, ethical behavior and
wellness in our school communities through ongoing
collaboration and education.

Registration or mailed in no later than September 11,
